Hayden is working on finishing his WTCH and ASCA Championship in 2007.  He's a very nice, biddable dog with loads of drive, a bit of eye on stock and some nice, natural instinct.  He has been shown very sparingly in ASCA and has a 5 point major.  We have high hopes for this boy.  He's also as sweet as they come, loves to cuddle and is very appropriate with other dogs. He is very easily trained and is wonderful for shaping behaviors.

Hayden is easy to control on stock.  Willing and biddable, with a good natural sense of balance and square flanks.  Easy to push out and a calm approach to his stock.  He uses a bit of eye when working in slower situations and has nice speed on his flanks.

Agility is definitely a strength of Hayden's and he is just a joy to run.  Even on non Qualifying runs I still come away exhilarated and generally with a smile on my face after our runs.  He's fast, responsive and driven and I just expect him to continue to improve.  He loves the game as much as I do and makes a fabulous partner!

Physically Hayden is built very nicely.  He has that special something about him that gets him noticed.  Zima has that too and I can't put a word to it, but some dogs have that special ingredient that makes people notice them.  Hayden is very charismatic.  He's a longer bodied dog (as I like them) and has a steeper croup (which I prefer to the "table top" top lines for speed and agility in working stock).  He has a bit of a longer muzzle, but has a nice top skull and stop.  He has a beautiful length of neck that sets nicely into his shoulders.  He converges and moves cleanly from behind, but is a bit wide in the front.  He is a bit long in hock.  He's a longer legged dog and is a bit straight in the stifle.  He has a nice tuck up and a strong back and loin despite his length of back.  He's very flexible, which makes him more capable of turning quickly and dodging when working stock.  His colors are rich...a nice dark liver red merle with light amber eyes. He has an amazing desire to please and works hard to figure out what I am asking of him. He takes corrections well, and handled pressure during training better than some of my dogs, but still does not take a hard hand in training.  I am looking forward very much to our future together.  He's turning out to be the type of male I would keep intact at my home...of which there are very few!
